Store Your Luggage With Ease When Visiting Los Angeles
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Planning a trip can be stressful; especially when you’re traveling with a lot of luggage. If you’re traveling with anything expensive on you, it’s recommended to find a safe, storage location for your things.

Of course, you can always leave your belongings in your hotel. However, this is a risk, as your room is subject to cleaning.

It may seem unlikely that the cleaning lady in your hotel is going to rummage through your bags, but you never know.

For true peace of mind, you should find a trusted storage service with good reviews. For an additional layer of security, you can also hide your more expensive items at the bottom of your bags.

You should also store your luggage in an area that you plan on spending a lot of time in.

You don’t want to have to drive a far distance just to retrieve your belongings; so if you plan on walking down Hollywood Boulevard every day, then you should find a storage location near that area.

With some proper guidance, luggage storage in Los Angeles can be simple and easy.

To help simplify the process, we’ve put together a list of the best places to store your luggage in Los Angeles! To learn more, keep reading below!

Contents

  • 1 Venice
  • 2 LAX
  • 3 Hollywood
  • 4 Santa Monica

Venice

Venice is one of the most iconic neighborhoods in L.A., with its world-famous beach, funky shops, street art, and more.

If you’re in the area, it’s practically mandatory to walk down the boardwalk. Soak in some fun, grab some funnel cake, and look at the sights!

This neighborhood is also home to Abbot Kinney Blvd, which is essentially a shopper’s paradise.

This street is named after developer Abbot Kinney, who founded the town of Venice in 1905. Originally, the neighborhood was called “Venice of America.”

Some popular stores on this street include Aviator Nation, Birkenstock, Flannel, Heist, Nati Boutique, Salt, and Scotch and Soda.

You can also find some quality food options on Abbot Kinney Blvd, from Abbot’s Pizza Company, Blue Bottle Coffee, GTA, and The Tasting Kitchen.

Locals like to compare Venice Beach to Coney Island of New York City, for their shared cultural richness and their similarities in attractions offered. For Californians, Venice Beach is their Coney Island!

LAX

If you don’t plan on regularly retrieving things from your luggage, a great place to store your belongings is near LAX, or Los Angeles International Airport.

This is probably where you’re going to be arriving and leaving from. Therefore, it makes sense to store your luggage nearby.

This airport is located in Westchester next to the city’s beach communities, just 16 miles from the downtown region.

This is one of the busiest airports in the world. In 2019, LAX completed about 700 nonstop flights to 113 destinations in the United States, every day.

The airport completed 1,200 weekly nonstop flights to 91 markets in 36 countries on 72 commercial airlines.

Hollywood

Without a doubt, Hollywood is the most popular tourist destination in L.A. When most people think of the city of angels, they think of Hollywood; the stars engraved into the sidewalk, the iconic “Hollywood” sign, the celebrities walking down the street.

If you’ve never been to L.A. before, you’re probably going to want to visit Hollywood.

There are also frequent festivals and shows in the area. You can also find a host of nightclubs on the boulevard. The most popular dance clubs in the area include Avalon and Sound.

Keep in mind that parking is very limited in Hollywood. If you plan on renting a car and want to stay in Hollywood, make sure you have somewhere reliable to leave your vehicle. It can get particularly difficult to find parking on the weekends.

Santa Monica

Santa Monica is a coastal city located west of the downtown region. People love to visit this city for its famous beach, as well as its other nature scenes.

For the nature lovers out there, Santa Monica is the place to be!

Santa Monica Beach is one of the most photographed locations on the planet. The blue waters, the tall palm trees, and the wealth of architecture around the area make it very photogenic.

Some attractions you can find in Santa Monica include Pacific Park’s Ferris Wheel, Palisades Park, the South Bay Bicycle Trail, the Santa Monica Mountains, and more.

Plan to spend some time outdoors if you stay in Santa Monica. There are some really incredible views you can experience.
