Our bathroom floor had water damage. We called Fischer in June to come repair, and opted to use insurance to pay. We also request a few upgrades: use tile floor instead of vinyl (120 sq ft), install 2 pocket doors, and move a light-switch. They provided an estimate for all work, including insurance and upgrades. We signed and they ripped out the floor. It was weeks before they came to do more work. Supposedly they were trying to find shower tile to match what we had left after the tear out. In late August we finally got a change order that indicated they couldn’t find the tile and needed to replace the whole shower. The change order also included some upgrades and the price seemed high, but the estimator assured me it was also an estimate and pressured me to sign so we could continue work. Since we had already waited over two months to have work done (living without a shower and toilet that whole time), I signed. The project dragged out for a total of 7 months. They told me to explicitly not pay until they finalized the bill, so I waited. I asked many times about it. Meanwhile, I had to take on the burden of managing the insurance payments because they wouldn’t do the work themselves. Finally insurance was fully paid and Fischer told me to pay the exact amount of the estimate, stating it was a contract the whole time. Now I am reviewing in detail and found some items that were never completed (moving the toilet over 18″ was one). They are refusing to take this off the bill, even though it was not done. I am also finding out that a subcontractor who came in to help later, because Fischer couldn’t complete the work themselves, will be charging me pieces of the items Fischer is charging me. For custom upgrades (tile floor, doors, light switch) we are being charged $4300 by Fischer and several hundred by the subcontractor. It does not add up. Fischer has resisted to provide us with line item cost of materials and labor for custom work for 4 weeks now, even though that is part of the contract.

ServPro did more damage than the fire! I collect old tin toys, and the original boxes are a significant part of the value. I display my toys, but had the boxes in a storage unit. The facility caught fire & ServPro showed up to … uh … “help” First, they made it sound like they were there in some sort of official capacity. That the only way I could get my property back was to deal with them. This turns out to not be the case, but it was too late by then|. When I got into the unit, I was overjoyed, many of my boxes had made it through with just a little water damage. I talked to them repeatedly about those boxes, they assured me that they knew how to clean them. I gave them a list of what I found, I included the “Certificates of Authenticity” for the newer items in my collection. I talked to both the supervisors and the workers and was specifically told on several occasions that they were taking good care of my boxes… Three months later, I still didn’t have my property back. I started calling, they responded, “Next week” … “next week” … “next week.” I finally heard from them when they sent a bill to my insurance company. I told them that they weren’t getting paid until I got my property back. They finally showed up … WITHOUT THE BOXES OR CoA’s!!! I’m out THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS WORTH OF ITEMS THAT MADE IT THROUGH THE FIRE! I sent them email – which is still unanswered. Neither will they return my phone calls. I’m also missing a hammock that made it through the fire … and what else? I don’t know, they were supposed to document the items, and photograph them as well. They won’t produce the supposed photographs, either. I did do one thing right – on day one, they gave me a paper to sign which said, “I’ve reviewed the items with ServPro, and they have my permission to dispose of the damaged items…” I didn’t sign it – neither should you. Not until your property is back in your hands. You should also not trust them to photograph everything, do that yourself. In fact, you should run screaming the other direction if these incompetent, dishonest, money-grubbing, yogurt-sucking mutants ever show up on your doorstep. You’re better off without them.

I’ll admit it. I’ve neglected the upkeep of my ‘new’ carpet and it really started to show. To make matters worse, the latest addition to my life, Sophie a 9 month old Golden Puppy, had a hard time understanding the difference between grass and my carpet for the potty. I searched around for carpet cleaners in the Seatlle area and started reading the reviews on Zimp. Every single review was shining, so I gave them a call. Bill was in the area and stopped by within the hour to assess the ‘damage’. He walked me through all my options clearly and ensure me he could save one of the biggest investments I have made in my house. When a few of the deep spots started showing up a week later, I gave him a call and he was at my house within a day to retreat them. I think he may have fallen as much in love with my carpet as I did when I picked it out. I am so impressed with his professionalism, courtesy, knowledge and commitment to excellence, that I wish I had more oppotunities to use him. Oh to be a carpet sold by Great Floors. It’s only been nine months since we met, but you already look like the running of the bulls took place right in my very own home. If you were a Christmas tree you’d be the one on the Charlie Brown special when it was still on the tree lot. A gum – you’d be a disappointing stick of Fruit Stripe where the flavor is gone ten seconds after putting in in my mouth. And you kinda remind me of that ugly ducking before he became a swan but uglier. How embarrassed and ashamed you must be. To have to deal with dishonest sales people like Bill Scott and store managers like Mark Wisecarver who tell the people you will resist stains when you do not. We were so good to you – Never wearing our shoes indoors. Cleaning you constantly. But you still look like the floor of a pettting zoo. On a good day. Yes Great Floors – Refusing to replace or refund money to hard working people. We even went to corporate guy Kurt Shewmake who just denied there was anything wrong with selling carpet that looks like. I guess it’s OK to sell carpet that lasts less than a year. Maybe these guys should just sell paper napkins – or even better tissue paper – would probably look better than my carpet’s current condition. Poor Great Floors carpet. In the end I don’t hate you – I don’t even blame you – In fact I feel sorry for you. (heavy sigh) PS Great Floors sold me a carpet. It lasted less than a year. They won’t give me money back.

I brought in a new kids quality Jcrew fishtail parka dry clean only With a few small food stains for dry cleaning and it came back clean but ruined. All the faux fur around the hood melted all of its soft long hairy fluff. When I pointed it out and asked for an explanation someone named Lee said it was fine and she would fix ? I showed her the cost on line what it looked like before I bright it in the $169.00 I paid for it and asked her for my 17$ I paid to ruin my coat back and an apology or explanation. I also showed her the new coat I bought same ( on sale 80$) She only offered me a 10$ check from her boss in 3 days ! No apology no new coat ($168) not even the full amount of the dry cleaning. She wouldn’t give me the name of the owner or her boss that would issue the 10$ check. When I asked for the owner she gave me 15$ cash and was very rude acting like I did something terrible to her. I’m out $168 no apology she didn’t talk at all as if she couldn’t understand English or speak. I should take the owner to small claims court to teach the business a lesson. This kind of behavior should be illegal. It was a terrible experience!

The people running this business, especially the woman owner or co-owner, were abrupt and dismissive the first time we dealt with them but we decided to give them another chance – everyone has bad days. What a mistake! The next time we went in they went out of their way to be rude and unfriendly. It’s a very strange way to run a business. I used to feel sorry for them – they never seemed to have anyone going in there. Now I know why.

I was called on the phone (I did not seek out this business). I was told G&C was a special running. I was quoted a cost of $119.95 to clean my carpets. Tony also said they cleaned upholstery and would I like that done too. I said, “”Maybe how much will that be?”” Tony said, “”119.95.”” I said, “”what is the total coast of both services.”” Tony said 119.95. Imagine my surprise after all the work is done I got a bill for $266. The upholstery was an additional $119.95!!! I called and spoke with the owner Greg. I explained the same story. Greg said, “”You are a LIAR. You just want something for nothing. I will turn you into collections and it will ruin your credit.”” I have NEVER had anyone talk to me like this. It actually made me cry! He was so rude. I’m reporting them to BBB.
