We purchased carpet from Carpet Warehouse in Muskogee in November 2015. While shopping, the owners stated all the carpeting they sell is number one, first quality carpet. They said they can offer it at a discount because they purchase it by full semi-truck loads. They were friendly and we had no reason to not believe them .This is a family owned business which appealed to us, but in retrospect, one employee/family member requested payment, and while this was taking place, other employee/family members cut, rolled and taped the carpet, preventing any type of inspection.After we arrived home and unrolled the carpet we noticed it it had a slash/cut between 2 and 3 feet long on the backside that came through to the front. Along with several chunks of cut out pieces from the corner of the roll, that they had given out for samples. …We immediately phoned the owners, expecting them to tell us to come back and get another piece that was undamaged? The owners THEN said…,”All the carpet we sell is seconds/defective. We sell thirty dollar a yard carpet for ten dollars a yard, …SO WHAT DO YOU EXPECT!” They then hung up! We were very disappointed that they lied. There should have to be a sign stating that the carpet they sell is damaged/defective. Since this incident, numerous other people have told us that they have had a similar experience buying carpet there. One person stated that the backing pulled away and came off entirely from the carpeting she purchased. When she would vacuum, the carpet would totally suck off the floor up into her vacuum completely coming out, leaving large bald spots. She had to have it completely removed and replaced . Just be careful, please inspect the carpet when it is being cut. It is my opinion that if the owners were honest, they would place a sign stating the carpet they sell is defective/damaged beside all the “NO RETURNS ON CARPET” signs that they have posted throughout their warehouse. No wonder they have so many signs stating no returns /:
