Wish I had read the reviews before calling. Was quoted $44.95 for four rooms and a hall. Guy came out and said my rooms are bigger and it will be a six room price. Also told me they needed neutralizer and enyzme cleaner on my carpets due to pet urine. I did have pet urine in one spot, but he insisted they needed to do the whole house. Quoted me OVER $400. I told them no thanks. I ended up paying over $100. Before they came, my house had no odor. After they came, my house STUNK like wet dog. We let it dry. We ran fans. I called them and they came back out. All they did was squirt more ‘enzyme cleaner’ (in a bug-spray type canister). The room that stunk the worst had carpet that was less than six months old and had never had a pet accident. We realized after they left that it is their so-called “enzyme” cleaner. It REEKS. So I basically paid them to come clean my carpets and stink up my house. My carpets do look cleaner in the high traffic areas if you can get over the smell. Go with another company or rent a cleaner yourself. These guys stink. Literally.

Called them because a neighbor recommended them based on a positive experience they had. They came out, showed up early after calling to let me know they would be available earlier if that suited my needs. They checked my carpet and analyzed its condition after I advised them of potential pet damage. Because of the extent of my pet damage, they advised we NOT proceed with the carpet cleaning. They advised I would not likely be happy with the result. They advised me of my options going forward. MOST OTHER carpet cleaning companies would likely have gone ahead with the cleaning, charged me a couple of hundred dollars, and left without any concern for my long-lasting satisfaction, blaming my problem on my animals and going on to the next job. I went to the business to get a estimate for repair for a hand knotted Tibetan rug damaged in an insurance claim. The owner was extraordinarily rude. I advised I simply needed an estimate for repair on his letterhead per the insurance companyВ’s request. So after taking it in, and leaving with nothing in writing, I write him for the estimate via email. He typed it out in the email but refused to put it on his official company paperwork. After about 5 requests by email explaining how the insurance wanted it, he did not reply. So I took it in a second time in person thinking I could clear up any issue in person. Within 2 minutes of my arrival he refused to put anything in writing, saying he sent it to me in email form. Again explaining what was needed he rudely kicked me out of his store. Do not give this man your business. He handles his business in a very shady way. I would not trust him in the care of my rugs nor would I ever step foot in his store again to buy a thread of yarn

After I had discovered some water damage on the bottom of my wood siding, I noticed what looked like mold growing on the siding. Understanding that I could only see what’s on the surface, I thought I’d call the crew at MicroTech to come out and assess my situation further to insure I didn’t have a larger problem under the siding. The Microtech technician came out to my house in a prompt manner and inspected my home for mold and water damage as asked. The tech was professional and friendly and was very helpful to share information and a few questions that I had while he inspected. After the inspection I received a thorough report which included the findings of the inspection, the sources of the damage and the recommendations to fix the problems. Coastal handled a $40K water damage claim on our home in 2012, and I would warn you to avoid this company. After they completed the job and had collected the insurance proceeds, we have had AC issues, plumbing issues and issues with both the tile and hardwood flooring they installed through their flooring contractor, Mike Reeves. Coastal has not taken accountability for any of the issues and has simply indicated that there contract had a 1-year warranty. Olympus Insurance paid an independent engineering firm to evaluate the ac and plumbing issues and they determined that both were due to Coastal’s activities, but Coastal still declined to address the issues. I even contacted their President, Scott McCurdy, via email, and after talking to his Jacksonville staff, he responded that they had “gone above and beyond” in our case and would not take responsibility for his company’s poor work. The tile in our upstairs bathroom cracked, and their flooring contractor, Mike Reeves, after a several month delay, finatlly came and repaired the crack, but the crack has reappeared in the exact same spot. Also, the laminate hard wood that he installed is starting the peel, and Chad Counihan with Coastal simply told me to contact the manufacturer to try to address that issue. I would recommend that you find someone else to handle your construction needs, as I don’t feel that Coastal will stand behind their work, or that of their subcontractors.
