Said coworker now denies claiming authority and operations manager rejects my calls and has meetings about the situation without me. The Colorado springs branch appeared to reject my defence and conspired to my termination without hearing my story and ignoring my calls. It appears the reason in this situation is they wish to remove males and have no problem terminating men who pay bills and favor loyal female employees.

Only one star for the 2 young men being professional…but the job of cleaning my carpets was horrible. The carpets were soaking wet after they were done. Not just wet but saturated with water. I can’t imagine they got real clean with that much water left in them. After about 3 hours I spent 2 hours sucking up over 3 gallons of water and dirt with my Hoover steam cleaner. They would have taken a week to dry otherwise. Totally unacceptable. I’m guessing they weren’t properly trained on the procedure of how to clean properly. Or they rushed it. Don’t use these guys to have your carpets cleaned! I will never use them again nor would I recommend to anyone. Horrible experience.

The girl at the Academy store was very rude when we dropped off clothes at the Academy store. My wife’s new ball gown was ripped at the seams when she got it home. All the suggestions by the owner were unacceptable. He continued to tell me that his workers did not do it and rambled on about taking it to a seamstress that could not get me in on short notice. We had to buy another dress and our evening was ruined by an incompetent dry cleaners. Last year all the buttons on my Army jacket were ruined by there dry cleaning process. Do not go to this store.

Updated for Owner’s response lying to/about this disabled veteran yet again (they hit google and yelp, I am preempting them here.) They flat out lied to me, all of them. Everyone from the sales person on the floor, to the manager last that day we selected them, and later even the install scheduler, told me they could take care of subfloor issues. The day of the install, “Actually, we can’t replace one board of subfloor. You’ll have to find someone else.” This halted the install mid process, costing me a premium to get the fix done in a hurry….. while secondary issue arose with Academy Carpet refusing to pay the installer, causing him to have to leave the job site to drive back into town or not get paid. Apparently they ticked the guy off, who came back angry and damaged basically every wall in my house he worked near while he angrily installed our carpet. Every wall we just laid to re-paint has score / tool marks, some very deep into the drywall. The images added here are a mere sample of the damage. They lied to us, cost me more for a repair I could have had a contractor on months ago, held up our install, and damaged our freshly painted walls, the multiple delays which are costing us even more time before we can put our old house on the market, and longer we have to pay the bills at a second home. Academy Carpet has seriously screwed us several times over in this single exchange. we strongly recommend you find any random homeless person with one arm and no legs instead of Academy Carpet, you’ll have a better experience with less headache. ***UPDATE**** Got a call from the sales manager (also Randy), В“We have two new options for you unfortunately with you complaining to BBB and all…В” (It was actually a review.) В“…the owner wants payment in full or or we can charge you for materials, and let you find your own installer. He thinks you might not pay after we finish now.В” He repeated this worded several ways, but the punchline was, В“we lied and did several shady things to you, but owner says pay us or we wonВ’t even schedule a finish, cause we donВ’t trust you now.В” -While breaking a second agreement with me, I was to pay the second half on completion. They then refused to finish clean up in my yard, left the toilets, flooring, and tried refusing to pay for the wall damages until I promised to sue them. My review, is 100% honest. With pics to support my claims. IВ’ve got tons more pics. What a sorry thing to do to a customer your company lied to, cost money, and massively inconvenienced. What an owner…. ****** NEW UPDATE! “We apologized and reimbursed… blah-blagh”. -Owner Liars to the end months later. They never apologized, they responded by leaving flooring material and toilets in my yard trying to get back at me for reviewing their business, not an apology. “Cleaning up after ourselves isn’t in your contact.” And I then had to threaten to sue them to get the promised reimbursement for my walls their installer damaged. There were no baseboards, this portion of the owner’s response is another fabrication. Check the BBB review where the lying owner claimed “all the damage was higher up on the walls away from where our installers worked.” I offer the pics here as proof of this owner’s consistent LYING. Only when they realized I had pics & msgs from them PROVING ALL MY CLAIMS did they back down and pay for the damage their installer did. Seriously, any random homeless person with 1 arms and no legs is a better choice than the Academy Carpet Liars to do carpet business with.

We recently hired this company to do some work in our home. When we initially called, the person I spoke to was very unknowledeable about the services they provided and the prices they would charge us. After getting past that obstacle, we decided to hire them because they had qouted us a good price. When the technician arrived, he was not only VERY late, but he smelled as if he had not bathed in a month and he acted like he was on something. We asked for pet treatment in a few areas of the house and for scotchguard and not only did they not get any of the stains out (which I later got out myself with a cleaner I purchased at the store) but the scotchguard appeared to be water. The technician they sent did not get all of the water up which caused the carpet to smell bad and he overcharged me by $90 and told me it was a service charge that must be paid in cash. After looking at the receipt, I noticed that they charged me tax, which I later found out its illegal to charge tax on a service, so after all of this, I called and asked to talk to the owner of the company and was promised a call back. After waiting 3 days with no return call, I called again and demanded to speak to him and when I finally told him what happened and how unhappy I was with all of thier services he laughed and basically said “Oh well”. He never offered to have another tech come out (which I would have not wanted anyway but still…) and never offered any money back or anything. Our lawyer is in the process of drawing up the necessary papers to begin the litigation process as we speak. I was APPAULED with this company and beg any and everyone who reads this to stay FAR AWAY!

Run away as fast as you can. They bid on my property damage for USAA and made all kinds of promises and kept none. Phone calls we not returned and lies were told. I had USAA fire them. They also were being monitored by another company who they reported the job as being finished. The only time I saw them was when they came out to do the bid for USAA. I had them fired. They had roofing material delivered that I had never seen or ordered. We never even got to that point of picking out roofing, we were not shown any roofing materials of even discussed it. I had called Steve’s office after he never returned phone calls. I was told that he was down in southern Colorado were there were other storms and they did not know when he would return. A week later Steve calls and apologizes for not calling me back, he said that it took longer than expected to move into his new home. It’s funny that between Steve and his office they can’t tell the same lie. Then Brandon was put in charge since Steve and I had issues. Brandon was just as bad as Steve. The rating of 1 is required to leave feedback. Please look at the 1 as (-1). BEWARE! Also beware because USAA uses them as a preferred contractor! I could not report on this company until my property was restored and my claim was finished. I wish that I could have reported on them earlier.
