This is a review of my experience with MAURICIO TOLEDO and his co-installer JORGE. I purchased Pergo laminate flooring in the Coastal Pine back in June from The Home Depot and got a great deal on a discount on the flooring and installation. The project was originally estimated to take 3-4 days and when it was finally scheduled for October (the delay was per my request), they said it would be 2 days. The job took 3 days because not only did they have to remove the carpeting and bathroom vinyl, but some of the concrete needed to be re-done to make it level which takes drying time. I was fine with this and I told Mauricio I wanted them to take time to get the job done right and didn’t want them to feel rushed. Mauricio and Jorge arrived early each morning and put in a full day’s work, were totally professional and focused on their job, and cleaned up after their work each day. Both men were courteous, pleasant and respectful, explained what they were doing and why when I was in my condo and Mauricio kept me informed by being available by cell phone. Mauricio is a very sweet man and Jorge is very nice too. I felt happy and comfortable having them in my home. They both went the extra mile and helped me out by doing things I was unable to do myself. Both have wonderful work ethics and attitudes. THE INSTALLATION THEY DID IS AMAZING! I would not reccomend this company to anybody. On their website they list vaccuming as the most important step and then did not vaccum. When we confronted the company on why the tech did not vaccum, they stated it is built into the steam cleaner. We then asked about why it is listed as the most important step and then they had no answer. The next issue is they did my entire three story house in about 25 minutes. Again, their website states it takes 1 1/2 hours to do just three rooms and somhow the tech complete all three rooms upstairs the hallway and the stairs plus the living room in just 25 minutes. The only comment the company had was the tech works for us for 7 years and is an excellent tech. I will say the tech was very friendly and polite, but rushed the job. They also list that they groom and deodorize the carpet and use special air movers to dry the carpet faster, well I guess they also forgot to do this as it was not done. Again, the company had no excuse and just tried to avoid our questions. DO NOT believe what they write on their website and DO NOT use this company unless you want to have half a job done and your dirt just shuffled around.

Caost 2 Coast did a terrible job on my carpet. We were moving out and needed the carpet to look great for showing our home. I didn’t bother vacuuming because their website boasts that they “provide a professional vacuuming of your carpet that will go deeper into your carpet and into the crevices between your floor and baseboards, extracting dirt and debris that a normal vacuuming will ordinarily miss. This process is extremely important, because it provides a debris-free carpet which is now properly prepared to be cleaned.” (Quote directly from their website) When the guy “finished” and I went to inspect his work, I found debris still all over the carpet, and the crevices and corners were skipped entirely. When I told him I was unhappy with the job and showed him a handful of debris that I collected off the carpet he had just “cleaned” he claimed that they don’t vacuum. That their equipment was not made to vacuum up debris. “But your website claims that you do a deep vacuuming before cleaning,” I said. He did not offer to redo the job, but rather became offended and defensive about his work and insisted that was the best he could do. I called the company to let them know what had happened and what a terrible job he had done. They insisted that he was one of their best technicians with 6 years experience and that they’d never had a complaint about him. They weren’t at all concerned about the pile of debris I collected after he did not vacuum, as their website claims. They did offer to send someone else out to redo the job. Why would I want someone else to come, of this last guy was one of their best? I didn’t need someone else to come to a lousy job. I needed to call someone who would actually DO the job. I would NEVER hire Coast 2 Coast again.

Carpet cleaning of three rooms/900 square feet, including stairs, landing and hallway. The stairs and landing were extra and were discussed and priced at the time I made the appointment. I chose Pro Kleen Carpet Cleaning because they were offering an San Diego carpet cleaning Special and their scores were very good. I called and made an appointment that was about three months from the date I called. I told them I wanted additional cleaning done that went beyond the three-room/900 square feet special they were offering and was told what the extra cost would be. It was acceptable. The owner called the day of the carpet cleaning appointment to tell me they were on their way. I appreciated that since the appointment had been made three months earlier. They arrived and we walked walked around and looked at the work to be done. There was one problem spot where a plant had been over-watered several times and stained the carpet. I was told of the probable outcome of the cleaning of that spot, and why. They did not try to sell me additional San Diego carpet cleaning services, such as pre-spotting and stain guard. However, they did pre-spot one place in the bedroom and did not charge me for it. The plant water stain came out much better than expected. They explained the special way they cleaned that stain and that if handled the same way in the future the stain would probably be completely gone. Overall, the job done was very well done. The one thing I would mention is that there was some water spotting on the wall underneath the stairs. The stairs are unusual in that they are open tread and I think that some of the spray overshot the open stair and landed on the wall below. I easily wiped it up and this did not detract from my overall satisfaction with the San Diego carpet cleaning. In fact, they did an excellent job cleaning some very soiled stairs and the landing. I found the owner and associate very personable and professional. They did an excellent job and I recomend them.

I had just purchased a house, and wanted to have the floors cleaned before moving in, so I checked out Angies list and bought a coupon for this company that covered 4 areas of cleaning. I called them to receive an updated quote for the extra game room, hallway, and staircase that would also need to be cleaned, and scheduled an appointment a few days later. I received a call a few minutes before the service was to be done letting me know that they were going to be a few minutes late and were on their way, but stuck in traffic. No problem, I work from home and was going to be there all day anyway. Two guys, probably in their 20’s, show up and put on plastic booties to keep the carpets clean as I give them a tour of what needs to be done. One of them uses a measuring tape to get the dimensions of each room, while the other comes to me to try to up-sell additional services. These services included Scotch-Guard treatment and Deodorizer/fragrance treatments. These were left out of the quote I was given over the phone, and are meant to force you into an impulse buy because you don’t have any time to think about whether you actually want these things, or if they are worth it. They tell me it will take about 1.5 to 2 hours to complete the cleaning, and show me an updated price. I was using an Angies list coupon for 4 areas of cleaning, so I understood that the price would be a little higher, as I was quoted a more realistic price on the phone. After declining the up-sells, the main guy looks visibly irritated and just walks away to one of the rooms to work with the other guy in cleaning, and doesn’t say a word to me again until I am forced to call him later. In less than 45 minutes, they are all packed up and ask me to sign the invoice and cut them a check. Did they cut corners to save time or did they overestimate how much they had to clean, and therefore, my bill? I offer them a bottle of water, I write the check, and off they go. I start walking around the house to inspect the job they did, and I notice that there is a bright pink stain in one of the rooms that is only visible when you are inside the room and the door is closed. I immediately called them up and asked if that part of the room was cleaned. They acknowledged that they saw the stain there and that they were not able to get it out. That’s something that they should have mentioned before they left! I realized that I didn’t even have a receipt for the cleaning, which was all contained in the invoice that I signed for them. I also started feeling suspicious about the math that was done to calculate the price. On the phone, I asked the guy to send me a copy of the receipt. He said they could mail it, but I recommended he snap a picture with his phone and email it to me. About 30 minutes later I received an email from him with no contents and no receipt. I immediately replied back to let him know that the file did not go through, and tried to call back but he did not answer. I called the main office and asked them to send me a copy of the receipt, and they said they would mail it to me. The woman at the office said that they didn’t have a scanner to be able to scan it and send to me, so I would have to wait for it in the mail. Two weeks later, I call them up after not receiving any mail from them. They tell me that they will print it out and mail it to me right away! It’s now two weeks after that, and I still don’t have a copy of my receipt. I’m very unhappy with the service. The pricing is very subjective, and the cleaners appear to be incentivized to up-sell worthless upgrades to you. They don’t tell you when they see stains that they didn’t get out, and they don’t provide you with a receipt for your purchase or make it easy to get a copy of it. I will not be using Masterclean again.

Where do I start? I called Quick-Dry Flood Services a few weeks ago and that was best thing that I could have done! My pipe broke in the upstairs bathroom flooding my upstairs and downstairs of my house. When did this happen? On a Sunday, at 2:00am. Of course, this stuff happens always at the most inconvenience times. I called Quick Dry and received a live person. The General Manager answered the phone and not some answering machine or service. I was greeted as pleasant as you can at 2:00am. I told him of my problems and they sent someone out quickly. They arrived at my house 40 minutes after placing the initial call. Now thatВ’s service! They vacuumed up all the water, removed my soaking wet pad from under my carpet, removed wet drywall and baseboards and placed some drying equipment. This is when the fun stopped! I called my Insurance Company the next day and I was bullied into trying their preferred vendor. What does that mean? It means. use their company that works directly for them. These preferred vendors could care less about your needs but only the insurance company needs. I know this first hand because I had a flood about 7 years ago. My insurance company said I could use Quick-Dry because they worked with them previously. The adjuster that came out only cared about trying to deny my claim and attempted to pay minimal monies. I Googled my insurance company and Xactimate and found tons of lawsuits against both. What a shocker!! Not!! Quick-Dry basically held my hand through the entire process and walked me through everything. I could tell this company had been around a long time just by their professional technicians and their thorough training. They billed my insurance company, dealt with their baloney and got paid. I did some Googling about the owners of Quick-Dry and found that their heavily involved in the community, especially with RadyВ’s ChildrenВ’s Hospital. I was glad to see someone that was involved with our community and lived locally, unlike companies that come swooping down from Los Angeles. I know that you canВ’t please everyone thatВ’s out there but Quick-Dry made the effort to answer all questions and make everything go as smoothly as possible in a very difficult situation. My reconstruction was done immediately after my home was dried and after it was said and done, it was like nothing ever happened in my home. I hope I never have another flood again as long as I live but if I do, IВ’m calling Quick-Dry.

San Diego carpet care showed up early and fixed my pet stain/odor and i really appreciate it. When my dad showed up he says, “you didn’t have get new carpet just because I was coming over”. My carpet is over ten years old, my dad thought it new. Gary was only here for two hours, but, he did wonders on my old rug. He left my house to go do another job, he was all smiles. Avoid!. They increase the price the moment they enter (first red flag). If you don’t agree to the increase they take the half the time they estimated for completion (second red flag) and then blame you when it doesn’t come clean. They wanted to double the cost for heavy traffic areas on almost new carpet. Worst company I have ever dealt with. The Summary – Total rip off and terribly damaged my home. They came out to dye my 10 x 10 room for $200 on 12/29/2013. The room was blue with a few stains and they were to dye the whole room brown. The outcome: On December 29, 2013 Levon (not sure of spelling) came in and he did a walk through to look at what the total charge would be for doing the room and spot touch ups on the bleached out spots caused by cat urine in the hallway. He wanted $25.00 for each touchup so I said no to the touchups. Levon said he would do one of the touch ups for free so I could see how great it would look. I agreed to the free touch up on one spot. He made the spot larger and much worse than before. He then proceeded to the room to make sure there wasnВ’t a need for anti-smell formula. He pulled up the carpet to make sure there wasnВ’t urine odor on the pad. I turned down the smell removing process that he wanted to charge an extra $25 for adding to the dye. He then began mixing and the dye on my front step area of my house. He wound up splashing and staining the porch. I gave him several rags to make sure he didnВ’t get the dye on the carpet. He said he didnВ’t need the rags. He said the brown dye would not hurt the other blue carpet. He finished the room and had to make another batch of dye since the blue was still showing through. He dyed again, walking in and out of the room onto the blue carpet. He was leaving brown footprints and there were brown drips all the way from my front door, along my wood floors, up my blue carpeted stairs, along my upstairs walkway, all the way back to the room from his leaky hose. He tried removing the spots and footprints but it made the spots even larger. He tried to assure me the spots would look better when dried. They did not look better. He pulled off the tape in the doorway to find that the brown dye leaked under the tape and out into the blue hallway carpeting. Now when the bedroom door is shut it looks like mud leaking from under the door. He tried correcting the dye in the doorway and hall. It did not work. He put one of my fans in the room to let the brown carpet dry and closed the door. He filled out a receipt stating В“spilled brown dye spots in hall & steps. Will return to dye hall, upstairs area & stairs $150.00В”. I paid him the $200 which we originally agreed to for the one room. He was suppose to call me to see when he could get back and fix things. He knew I had a renter moving in January 1st. I did not get to see the final quality of the room until the following day. It was a mess. The blue color showed through the brown. There were sections of carpet that werenВ’t even dyed, the walls, floorboards, and door were all stained with dye. The carpet was still left pulled up and not tacked down, and the blind pull was under the carpet and also dyed brown. I have emailed and called. James did return one of my calls stating that he would talk to the Manager Tony when he gets back on the first. I emailed and called on the 1st and no one has returned my calls. I sent them an email this morning that stated В“I prefer to get this resolved amicably but if I donВ’t hear back from you regarding a resolution I will have to take this to small claims court, file a claim with the BBB, and post my reviews regarding the companyВ’s poor performance.В” I have left messages, called, emailed to no avail. They still have not responded. To date I have filed with BBB, ICANN, GoDaddy, and am now posting reviews. Do not deal with this company.
