If a fitter, healthier and happier you is in the books for 2021 then there’s a pretty good chance you’re looking for as much guidance and as many tips and tricks as possible to hack your health.

It is no secret that getting on top of your health is not an easy task and there is a tonne to consider such as working on reimagining your daily workflow and lifestyle to ensure you have the time to focus on yourself.

1. An All-new Diet

Off the top we will get one of the simpler tips out of the way, and that is making sure your diet enables you to reach optimal performance at work and in life.

We know that cutting out fats and sugars seems like a given, and this is one of the more mundane suggestions so allow us to guide you a little further.

It is important to work to structure your life around your dietary requirements and to make sure you’re able to get all your day’s nutrients in such an easy way that you never find an excuse to ‘just buy lunch today,’ as opposed to chowing down on a freshly made salad.

Consider the Following:

  • Kicking off your day a little earlier; just an hour should do.
  • Work to fill this early hour with smoothie making that includes all your greens and fruits for the day.
  • Spend the leftover time to prepare some lunch, or work on your mindfulness.

With these three minor changes, you’re better aligned to meet your health dietary requirements!

2. Exercise Takes Centre Stage

As you will know, exercise is imperative to health, and so you’re going to want to work to ensure you’re getting enough of it.

Enrolling in a 24-hour gym Doncaster will do the trick.

For this tip we suggest walking to work when you can, or parking a few blocks from your office space in the city and walking the streets each morning and afternoon – you may even find a new cafe, book store or shopping outlet that you never knew existed.

Added to this, investing in a smartwatch to keep you motivated is a great way to keep fit and push yourself a little further each day as we all love to quantify our movement.

3. Get Plenty of Sleep

Not only is sleep critical to being productive during the day, it is also vital to countless bodily functions.

It is always a great idea to focus on your sleep towards the end of the day, and this means forgoing caffeine after lunch, ensuring you’re reducing alcohol intake and working to ensure that chamomile teas and other relaxants are being consumed in the latter half of the day.

For some, however, sleep may become difficult as a result of sleeping conditions such as sleep apnea, and with this, we suggest affordable CPAP machines from brands like Cpap Direct to ensure you’re able to sleep for your full eight hours uninterrupted.

4. Head to the Doctor, Dentist and Physio

A short tip from us when it comes to health is leaving some aspects to the professionals.

If you’re having issues with your energy levels, have sore muscles or a sore tooth or jaw it’s time to make your way to your local GP, physiotherapist or dentist to get on top of these issues as soon as possible.

5. Quit Smoking and Other Substances

If a healthier 2021 is in your to-do list, and you’re a smoker, it is time to work to really cut back on your intake of nicotine via cigarettes and work to quit.

Though going cold turkey may be something a little difficult, you can work your way down to nicotine patches or even vapes, for example, to give you a better chance of reducing your dependency on cigarettes.  

6. Understand and Mitigate Stress

A big tip for those on the way to wellness in 2021 is to understand, manage and mitigate stress.

You may have heard that a myriad of recent studies have placed stress as one of the most detrimental factors in a person’s life when it comes to health and getting on top of wellness and so taking an hour each day, or sometimes just a few minutes to mediate, take part in yoga or write in a gratitude journal is a great place to start.

7. Keep Good Relationships

For our final tip we have one of the easiest to follow, which is fostering great relationships and that means hanging on to those you love.

With good company you’re able to better relax and de-stress after a bad day and rebound much faster and get back to your chipper self, making it easier to follow through on all of the above tips we have outlined.
