COSPLAY Makeup Removal Techniques

Cosplay make-up is an indispensable step for a successful cosplay, not only to beautify your face, but also to bring you closer to the character you are playing.

I’m sure you all understand the importance of makeup for cosplay, but did you know that you need to take it off after every cosplay?

Don’t be surprised if I have friends who don’t understand the importance of removing makeup. After all, a large percentage of cosplayers rely on makeup artists to do their makeup, and many of them don’t offer makeup removal services for a variety of reasons, leading to a lack of knowledge about “makeup removal”.

Generally speaking, dirt on the skin can be divided into two types, including water-soluble dirt, which is sebum and contaminated in daily life, and oily dirt, such as cosmetics.

The water-soluble dirt can be easily removed with a general cleanser, while the cosmetic oil-based dirt cannot be cleaned unless it is also a makeup remover with oil as the main ingredient.

So, how do we choose a makeup remover? First, we must refer to the adhesion of the foundation to the skin that we have used previously. This is the most basic method of selection.

If you don’t choose the right makeup remover, this can lead to a less-than-complete removal of the makeup on your face, leaving a residue that can lead to pigmentation, dark spots, pimples, and other undesirable sequelae.

The first requirement for a good makeup remover is to never skimp on the amount of makeup remover you use.

I recommend you to buy cheap and easy-to-use makeup removers because you need a lot of makeup remover each time, otherwise it is better to switch to cheap makeup removers after buying brand-name makeup removers but can’t afford to use more.

If you can’t cleanse thoroughly because of the amount you save, it will endanger your skin’s health, wouldn’t that be a big mistake?

In addition, remember not to remove makeup while massaging, to avoid the makeup that is not easily floating out, and then stuffed back into the pores, it is simply not worth it.

If you really want to massage your skin, you must first remove the makeup remover and then massage with a makeup remover-type lotion or massage cream.

There are many different types of makeup removers, and only a few representative products are available here. Remember, before using a new makeup remover, please read the instructions that come with the product.

My most recommended makeup remover is a makeup remover oil. If you want to remove your makeup quickly and completely, makeup remover oil is the best choice.

The oil will become oily when it dissolves in the foundation and will change and emulsify to white color when it hits the water.

If the dirt is emulsified before it dissolves, the cleaning effect will be greatly reduced, so please keep your face and hands dry when using makeup remover oil.

In addition, since the oil cannot be removed by rinsing with water alone, it must be thoroughly removed with a facial cleanser to avoid the consequences of acne and dull skin tone.

Oil-based makeup removers are suitable for medium to dry skin and for makeup applied with powders, liquid foundations, long-lasting foundations, and long-lasting creams.

Liquid make-up removers: for oily skin and lightly powdered make-up.

Gel Make-up Removers: for medium to oily skin and for foundation only.

Liquid Make-up Remover: for normal skin and foundation with only powder and liquid.

Creamy make-up remover: medium to dry skin and make-up applied with powder, liquid foundation, liquid foundation, liquid foundation, liquid foundation and liquid foundation.

Eye and Lip Makeup Remover: intensive cleansing of key areas, suitable for mascara, eye shadow, lipstick, and other site-specific makeup.

(Those words above are directly from the text, for those who are in a position to reconsider those methods ~ the easiest is to wash and wash with soap, the worst is to use a peel-off mask)

I’m glad you were able to read the full article, and I’ll close by mentioning that makeup must always be removed! The technique of removing makeup is not difficult.

Anyone can learn it, so don’t be lazy and choose not to remove your makeup, friends. If you’re interested in cosplay, check out Cosplaylab, it’s a cosplayer’s dream place.
